Frank Hardy Made My Photographs Two

WCOA …

For some reason, I want to say that this photo was taken when WCOA had it’s studio up in the San Carlos Hotel.  But that is pure speculation on my part.  If anyone has a better guess, please let us hear it.  I do know that before WCOA moved to the studio it was in out off of Barrancas Avenue, it was located on the top floor somewhere of the San Carlos.  This looks like it mught fit the decor of the hotel, so that is what I am basing my guess on.  If anyone recognizes any of these people in the photo, please let us know.  Thanks for looking …

  1. Taris Savelle would be a great resource for anything having to do with WCOA or celebrity visits to Pensacola. We lived next to he and her parents on Spring street and had the opportunity to meet quite a few famous people.

    • Bob – Taris Savell is very guarded with her comments and the use of her photograph. She was in the photograph that has Brenda Lee and she requested that I remove her from the photo because she is a private person. I honored her request and cropped her out of the photograph … I sure do not want to offend anyone and if anyone wants me to remove a photograph from this blog because they do not wish to be made public, I respect their wishes. The last thing I set out to do with this blog is to offend anyone’s privacy and I sure did not set out to get anyone mad at me. So in a nutshell, that is why I probably will not ask Ms. Savell for any help with any of this. Thanks for looking and we will just have to figure this stuff out another way … Frank
