I had a good friend that had a funny saying about calling a Tucker, but it is not something I would want to put here. I bet this cab has a story ot two to tell if it could talk … Thanks for looking

Wow, this brings back memories. I actually drove a cab for Tucker Taxi for a few months in 1960 or 61. I never realized that there were houses of ill repute in Pensacola until I started driving the cab. Cab drivers sure didn’t make much money back in those days – I was lucky to bring in $35 a week.

Notice the prefix HE? Wasn’t that short for HEMLOCK? The other prefix was GL for GLENDALE.
I believe HE was 43…. and GL was 45…

The GL prefix was for the west side of town when all this came about … Frank
