Spring Portrait …

This is a portrait that my father made back in the 1960’s … the lighting is what stood out to me in this photograph of a pretty, young girl.  This photo looks as nice today as it was when it was made fifty years ago.  You just can not beat a ” timeless ” portrait like this.  It is a shame that you do not see this classic style of portraiture from photographers these days … a lot of what you see today is a photographer telling their subject to just go over and stand by that wall or just grab a hold of that lamp post and swing out … and look like you are having fun!  Or, let’s just run around and take some pics …  Thanks for looking …

  1. I believe your father took my and my sister’s portraits in the late ’50s, early ’60s. Was his studio in the bottom floor of the San Carlos? Years later, we walked by the studio and my picture was in the window
