Andyburger …
This Andyburger shop looks as if it might have been located down Wright Street, next to where the Skipper’s building is / was located. It would now have been located where the parking lot for Pensacola Photo Supply is located on Wright Street. This photo is from the 1950’s, but as usual, that is just a guess on my part. You can read ” Sunbeam Bread ” on the door handle if you look close. These internet photos never can show all the detail that is in these images, so you can not really appreciate these images unless you look at the negatives / prints. At some point I would like to have a show somewhere and have 50 or so prints exhibited …stay tuned for that. Next, is one m0re Andyburger image …
This building, to me, looks like the old Marcello’s Restaurant on Navy Blvd. I have no idea where it is located and that is just a guess on my part. If anybody remembers this building or anything on Andyburger, please let us hear from you. I am interested in learning if this was the old Marcello’s front … it was our all time favorite Pensacola restaurant and we were really sad to see it close.
One more thing, I have been very busy lately and have not been posting very much, but I am not giving up on this blog … I have too much more to put out for everyone to see. I figure that I have enough photos that I can go for at least 8 or 9 years before I have to repeat anything. The only thing that takes me so long is getting them worked-up in Photoshop. So please check back periodically and thanks for all of your comments … Frank
Easter Portrait …
I know that this photo is a little late or a little early depending how you look at it, however this is yours truly at around 3 or 4. Which by the way would make this 1956 or 1957. Notice that there is no backdrop in this photo … canvas and paper backdrops did not start until the 1960’s for some reason or another. I thought that it was time for me to post some of my child photos, since I only have literally thousands of them, and I did not just want to post other people’s portraits. I want to be an equal opportunity embarrasser ( I do not know if that is the correct word or not, but you get my point ). Thanks for looking and you can save your comments ( just joking ) …
