Paper Machine 1 _Lucis_RTP_8_3_13 SFW

No information or details on this image other than the obvious … a paper machine.  I would guess that it could be one from the Pensacola News Journal that my father had made back in the 1950’s.  I have a post somewhere on this blog of a man standing along side of the paper machine showing the scale of the machine.  I wish that I had more info, but photos like this have always been interesting to me … I hope some of you out there find this interesting also.  The more than anything else, it just shows how far technology has progressed in the last 40 or 50 years.  Thanks for looking and please check back … Frank

Paper Machine Abstract …

with 4 comments

This is one of that paper machine that I posted earlier.  I had worked it up several months ago and someone had made a comment about the machine recently and I just thought it was an interesting photograph.  It is not really an abstract, but for lack of a better headline, I just titled it one … Paper Machine just does not get it.  I hope everyone looks at this as a work in progress and I hope to improve my writing skills the more I write.  I had one sentence in the last post that was a terrible run-on sentence, but I tend to write like I talk and my mind works faster than my hands and mouth.  Thanks again for looking … Frank

Paper Machine From the 1950’s …

This was made back in the 1950’s, or it could have the 1940’s, but I am going to say the 50’s.  It is a newspaper printing machine, I believe.  This could have been made down at the Pensacola News Journal printing plant in downtown Pensacola.  I am sorry that I do not have any “real” information on this photo, but if anyone can enlighten us, be our guest.  Thanks for looking …
