Navy Point Stores …
This has been sitting around for some time and I have been meaning to post it some time ago. This is a view from the inside of the Navy Point Store. I have posted a view of the outside a year or so back, but this is one of the few that I have found that was made inside. I think this was made for a yearbook ad back in the 1960’s … not sure if it was for the PHS or the Escambia High Yearbook. As usual, I have no idea who the girls are. I have several others that were made at this time that I will post later … thanks for looking, Frank.
Navy Point Stores …
This building has been torn down now. The lady that used to run the camera store here was named Mrs. Gossage and she also ran the photo exhibit at the Pensacola Interstate Fair for many, many years. She and my dad were very good friends and I know that he bought a lot of his cameras from her back in the 1940’s and 1950’s. I am not sure when the business was closed down and I did not know that the building had been torn down until Pam and I drove by several weeks ago. Anyone wishing to share their memories of the Navy Point Store or of the Navy Point area in general, please be my guest and thanks again for looking … Frank
