Frank Hardy Made My Photographs Two

More East Hill iin Snow …

with 4 comments

This is the park located at 12th Avenue and Gonzalez Street covered in snow.  This view is looking east across the park towards the shops on 12th Avenue.  For some reason, I believe the name of this park is called, ” Cordova Park “.  The photo below is of a house located somewhere in East Hill, but I have no idea where.

The house looks familiar and I am sure that whom ever lived in the house were friends of my fathers’.  I know I have seen the house, but I just cannot seem to place where it is.  As always, all comments are welcomed and appreciated.  Thanks for looking …

  1. You were close on the park name, Frank, but I looked it up on a Pensacola Parks website and see the name of this park is “Cordova Square” Here’s the link: http://www.playpensacola.com/parks.asp?parkID=13185#http://www.playpensacola.com/_files/contents/370/logo.gif

  2. The snow was in 1958, my son, Tom Prescott Jr., was 2 weeks old and we had never seen so much snow.

    • You know, I could not find one of the negative envelopes that has the date in February written on label. I was only 4 in February of 1958 and for some unknown reason, I thought that I was only 3 or so. I knew that I had not started school, but I just guessed. Thanks for remembering and please check back … Frank
