The Garden of The Gods …
This photo was taken sometime in the late 1950’s. We made a trip out to Colorado and went to Pike’s Peak while we were out there. The Garden of the Gods is in Colorado Springs, which I guess is near by. I have another photo that he made that has some 50’s automobiles that I will post later. Thanks for looking … Frank

I wanted also to add that my mother was seamstress for Rosie O’Grady’s … made the vests for Bob Snow (Robert J S Snow) and Nelson K Hamilton, gowns for Ruth Crews (The Last of the Red Hot Mamas – after Bunny Arbona); and the vest and costumes for the waiters/dancers.

Thank is interesting … I can remember the vests and outfits very well. My father used to take quite a few photographs for Bob Snow, in fact, I can remember making his wedding photos when he married Linda. We also made photos for him at his baby’s Christianizing out at St. Anne’s in Bellview. Thanks again for commenting and please check back … Frank

The overweight man for the Jarrard Motors is LeRoy Morris. He was a personal friend of my family’s. He worked for WPFA Am Radio, WEAR TV (often with Lynn Toney). His wife, Caroline Morris, had a large local beauty salon. Their two adopted children were Tanna and Shawn Morris. Years had separated our families.
My father was Donald J. Carter, Fire Chief, NAAS Ellyson Field. My mother, Viola A. (Tessie) Carter worked for Caroline Morris and made LeRoy’s suits… she was a costume designer/seamstress for Dorothy Clementy for the Fiesta of Five Flags (along with Bess Ekstrom), Janet Stevens Dance Studios, etc. I went to Hallmark Elementary with Ms Hartman Principle, Blount Jr High with Lon R Wise Principle , Pensacola High School; worked at NAS Pensacola for the Judge Advocate General, NLSO (Naval Legal Service Office). Left Pensacola after 38 years (after my parents died)
