    • That is correct … I have several photos of Belinsky and a little story that I put on one of these posts about him. Mamie Van Doren I could not tell you about, but I am sure if you googled her you would find a lot. Thanks for the comment … Frank

  2. Frank, I used to go watch the Dons play at Admiral Mason Park with my father, Dick Brassell. Our tickets had a number on them that during half time they would draw for some one to win a pony!

    • Ellen – Thanks for the comment … Your father’s name rings a bell, I know I have heard of Brassell before, but I cannot put a face or anything with it. Also, thanks for the bringing up the raffle at the ballpark. I only 4 or 5 when I used to go down there with my dad, so I do not remember the raffle, but I do remember going and sitting in the bleachers at a game or two, but that is about all. I have quite a few photos of the Dons that I plan on putting up, so check back periodically. I have been trying to post more often than I have in the past. Thanks again for looking and the comment … anything else that looks familiar and you remember something about, please comment. Frank …

      • Thanks for the comment Bill … I find them and scan a few in the near future. I forgot a lot of the groups that I saw on the lists. All you hear about today are the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, etc. I can remember sitting in my room and listening to WBSR AM, since there was nothing on FM at the time except for classical music. Thanks again for the comment … Frank
