Old Sacred Heart Hospital in the Early 1940’s …
I am not sure of the exact yeay this was made … I want to say 1941 or 42, but I have no idea. Maybe if someone could identify the cars in the photo, we could pin it down. I posted an aerial photo earlier that my dad had made back in the 1930’s and you did not see a parking lot across from the hospital. Also, note all of the trees out front of the hospital. I posted an exterior view several posts back and it did not have all of this foliage. As usual, all comments are welcomed …
The name of the Old Sacred Heart Hospital in the early 1940’s was The Pensacola Hospital. I was born there in Dec. of 1944. I loved your dad. He was our main or perhaps only photographer for everything! I know more about some of the photos that you have posted and the names of some of the girls in a couple of the photos. Some of the photos are before my time, but I bet I have family who would recognize who people are in some of the photos that you have. Have just learned how to make a comment.
