A Few Things …
Greetings… Have not posted anything in a few years now. I’ve been busy with other projects and have not posted for several years. One item I want to mention is trying to identify people in posts correctly and when I do misidentify someone, place or thing I will take the post down. A reason I started this blog was to help me identify people that are in the photos. I have had a good bit of luck and have had some interesting stories told to me. I am going to keep this blog going for a while and will be putting up new images to share with everyone. If anyone has comments or suggestions please let me hear them. Thanks again ….
Frank
I have negatives that are larger than slides and definitely larger than traditional negatives. I have a scanner that scans those two sizes, but I am usure how to get the photos from the larger size negatives. Do you have any advice?
I’m not sure exactly what you are talking about. Are you talking about 35mm to a larger size negative? I scan 35, 2×2 and large format negatives. The size of the negative doesn’t matter, it is what size the scanned file will be that matters. My email is frankphardy@gmail.com . Email me tomorrow and I can explain it and then you ask questions. It’s not difficult but hard to do in this manner. I’m happy to help. Epsom ( scanner I use ) might have some YouTube videos explaining the process. Text me tomorrow. I’ll be out most of the day. When I return I’ll get back to you. Happy to help….

Yeah! I was actually looking thru history pictures the other day. You remember what my favorite subject is, ( for those wondering, EastHill! ) Still bike riding around here seeing all the changes mixed in with the old. Talked to someone just recently about The Friendly Service (deli of course). I guess I’ll have to check in to your instant graham [sic].

Just wanted to say thanks for the comment. It’s funny because I was in your neighborhood a few months ago delivering some photos and couldn’t remember your address. I had delivered some photos to the family across the street that had kids at Catholic High School. He had worked at the Kwik-Chek next to the old studio on 12th. His first name was Enrique and his last name was Allegio. I know I misspelled it. Very nice family. His wife worked for a judge downtown. I don’t do much on Facebook but I post all the time on Instagram under FrankPHardy. I remember seeing you somewhere and you said you had or were building a place in the mountains. Please keep in touch and I enjoy hearing from you. Stay safe and keep in touch!!

Thank you! Maybe periodically WEAR would feature some of the photos like the cheerleaders. It would be a great community piece ….speaking g of community, I am just shocked that I haven’t seen anything by PNJ, WEAR, the Chamber, or any of the state or federal area legislators about an outreach effort to the devastated town of Pensacola, NC. It would be a wonderful effort and surely generate so much support. Thank you for all you do. Sincerely, Dixie Newton Sansom Now of Brevard County Florida

Thanks! You are too kind. I still have things to share and a lot has happened over the past few years so I plan to get back into some regular posting routine. I do post my work on Instagram under FrankPHardy. Don’t do anything on Facebook since everyone is a comedian or wants to argue about something or anything. Hope you weather the storm! Let me know how you do. Good luck and keep in touch….Frank

Never have gone anywhere. Started posting my work on Instagram under FrankPHardy and that was easier for me anyway. I still have work I want to share in the future so please check back here. Thanks for the kind words. I appreciate them and I know my father would be pleased to see his work is still enjoyed and appreciated. Keep in touch and I appreciate the kind words. Stay safe. Hope you’re not in the path of Milton. Or up in North Carolina for that matter. Thanks again and stay safe!!

Frank, I retired to Pensacola about five years ago. I am not on Instagram (or Facebook), which is why I didn’t know you were posting there.
