Pensacola High School Annona Ads …
These photos were shot to be used in ads for the Pensacola High School yearbook Annona. As usual, I have no clue who any of these young ladies are in any of these photos or do I know exactly which business they advertised. But I am confident that some of you out there will let us know. I am going to say that they are from the 1950’s, but they could be from the 1960’s. The one above is from some dress store in Pensacola and it most likely was downtown somewhere, since the malls did not come about until later ( I am guessing about that ) in the late 1960’s I would guess. The last photo of the girls looking at the silver settings was made in side Elebash Jewelery store in downtown Pensacola I believe, bit I could be wrong. The girls in the cosmetic store is not familiar to me at all, so if anyone recognizes the store let us know. That’s Nancy Belich in the 1st picture; in the 2nd picture, that’s Ann Robinson with Elaine Clary.

I have heard the name ” Belich ” somewhere, but I cannot put anything else with it. The ” Robinson ” name is familiar in the area. That you for taking the time to write Jack. Merry Christmas … Frank

Reminds me of Moulton’s Drug Store – which would have been an easy place for your dad to set up photo shoots.

Could be Dixie … Someone else mentioned Moulton’s but I do not remember them ever having a cosmetic counter. I would have only been four then since someone said that these photos were made for the 1957 PHS yearbook. Frank

The photographs are in the 1957 PHS Annona. The three stores are Elebash, Moulton’s Drugs, and Bon Marche. I was in class of 1956, my brother Andy in class of 1957, and my wife in class of 1958, so I have a set of yearbooks from 1954 through 1958. Thanks for posting these photographs.

Thanks Jack … I thought that the silverware was from Elebash’s, I remember Bon Marche and going there with my mother. I mentioned to someone earlier that I did not know about Moulton’s selling cosmetics, but I was very young at that time. Thanks for commenting and please check back … Frank
