Christmas Partiers ….
I do not know who these girls are, but as dressed-up as they are, they might be ready for their dates to pick them up for the Noel Dance that was held in Pensacola for forty or so years. A girl’s sorority used to sponsor the dance and it was held in downtown Pensacola at the old Municipal Auditorium which was located at the foot of Palafox Street. The Auditorium was torn down ten years or so back and nothing has been rebuilt to replace the facility, which to me was a big mistake … but what do I know. Thanks for looking and please let me hear from anyone that can remember going to the Noel Dance … I know that you are out there! Happy Holidays … Frank
Far right standing is Suzanne Jones daughter of McHenry Jones and seated next to her is Christine Hayward, daughter of Ashton and Edith Hayward

Thanks Gay … the only girl that looks remotely familiar to me is the girl standing in front of the Christmas tree and I cannot put a name to her face. Thanks for commenting and please check back … Frank

I remember how being invited to the Noel Dance was a big deal, only Sr. girls were invited. I still have my invitation in a scrapbook.

I went to Noel back in 1969, 70 and 71. It really was a big deal and they would decorate the Municipal Auditorium all up. They always had a live band playing in those days. When I went down and photographed couples back in 1978 -81, I think that they had gone to DJ’s and recorded music. Thanks for the comment Lee and I will see if I can find any of those couple photos from back in the late 1970’s and post a few … Frank

Oh… the Lady in the (only) black dress stands out for more reason than one (the dress). She is beautiful! (Not that the others aren’t lovely too. ) Identify yourself woman!

Thanks for the comment Bill and I am sorry that I do not recognize any of those girls. I would make a guess and say that my father made that photo sometime in the late 1950’s. If anyone recognizes any of the girls, please let us hear from you. Thanks again for the comment Bill and maybe a date might become of this … Frank
